DTF Transfers Heat Press Instructions (Cold Peel)
Materials Needed:
- DTF Transfer
- Heat Press Machine
- Garment (cotton, polyester, or blend)
- Teflon Sheet or Parchment Paper (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Heat Press:
- Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C). Allow it to reach the desired temperature before starting the pressing process.
2. Prepare the Garment:
- Lay the garment flat on the heat press platen. Make sure it is smooth and wrinkle-free. A pre-press for 5-10 seconds can help remove moisture and wrinkles.
3. Position the Transfer:
- Place the DTF transfer face-down (design side touching the garment) in the desired location on the garment.
4. Cover the Transfer:
- Use a Teflon sheet or parchment paper to cover the DTF transfer. This helps protect both the transfer and the garment during pressing.
5. Heat Press the Transfer:
- Press the garment with the DTF transfer at 310°F (155°C) for 15 seconds.
- Apply firm pressure during the pressing process.
6. Cool Down Completely:
- After pressing, allow the transfer to cool down completely. Do not attempt to peel while the transfer is still warm.
7. Peel the Transfer:
- Once the transfer is completely cool, carefully peel the DTF film from the garment.
8. Post-Press (Optional):
- For added durability, you can perform a post-press by covering the design with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper and pressing again for 5-10 seconds.
9. Final Cool Down:
- Allow the garment to cool down completely before wearing or washing.
Washing Instructions:
- Turn the garment inside out before washing.
- Machine wash cold with mild detergent.
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
- Do not iron directly on the design.
