Frequently Asked Questions
Can I also use glue to adhere these hot-fix rhinestones?
Yes. Although they have a heat-activated adhesive, you can also apply them with fabric glue, E6000, or any rhinestone adhesive for non-fabric surfaces.
Are hot-fix rhinestones permanent on fabric?
Once properly applied with heat, the adhesive bonds permanently to fabric. Hot-fix rhinestones are recommended specifically for fabric and textile use.
How should I wash garments with hot-fix rhinestones?
Turn the garment inside-out and wash on a gentle cycle with warm or cold water. Avoid pre-wash detergents as they can weaken the adhesive. Air dry or use low heat in the dryer.
What surfaces can I apply CrystAX hot-fix rhinestones to?
Best results on cotton, polyester, denim, and most fabric blends. For leather, plastic, wood, or metal — use a separate rhinestone glue instead of heat.
What size should I choose?
SS6 (2.1mm) and SS10 (2.9mm) are ideal for detailed designs and fine outlines. SS16 (4mm) and SS20 (4.8mm) are the most popular all-purpose sizes. SS30 (6.5mm) and larger are great for statement pieces and high-impact designs.
